# Tags

Add custom 'Tags' in the 'Tags' section when adding or editing an inventory item to distinguish differences between different inventory items that are the same ingredient. (i.e date purchased, batch code, date packaged or manufactured, etc.)  When selecting ingredients in the 'Recipe Builder', the tags are visible for inventory items, allowing you, for example, to select to use the older item that is tagged accordingly.
